Scribe update from National!

Hello hello, this is troop scribe Andrew, typing/broadcasting/writing from Fort AP hill! Saturday we toured Independence Hall, saw Ben Franklin, (well, his headstone,) and drank about 30 gallons of water.

Sunday we listened to an amazing sermon at Arlington National cemetery by the Jambo national chaplen, Charles Dahlquist. The sermon was geared toward all religions, and centered on how God has guided us a nation, will guide us, and how we as scouts, more than others, have a responsibility to be stewards of this nation. Then we went to the Boy Scout memorial in DC, group photo! Then we spent the day going to museums and the FDR, Air Force, and Jefferson Memorial.

us: why is the water green?
national parks employee:  we have no idea.  It wasn't that way yesterday.
Today we've been setting up camp, buying souvenirs at the trading post, and two of our scouts got a taste of some of the fun here to come at Jambo, Ian Wurfl and Andrew Blocher went shotgun shooting. The rest of us have been either trading patches, or checking out some of the awesome stuff at the Trading post! That's all for now, another update will be coming soon!
