We came to Crescent!

We all found the Crescent Community Center, and had a great meeting!  

We choose designs for shoulder and pocket patches, and covered lots ways we'll Be Prepared for the Jamboree!

Patrols worked on their flags and got to know each other.

I stopped at Natural Bridge on the way home.

Swim test certification

Scouts are required to complete their swim certification before the national jamboree. If they aren't swimmers, they will miss out on all the waterfront activities.  Please have your local scout leader fill out the following or e-mail me with this information.

___ completed the BSA Swim Test for swimmer as follows:

·  Jump feet first into water over the head, level off, and begin swimming.

·  Swim 75 yards in a strong manner using one or more of the following strokes: side, breast, trudgen, or crawl. Swim 25 yards using an easy, resting backstroke.

·  The 100 yards must be completed without stops and must include at least one sharp turn.

·  Rest by floating…Long enough to demonstrate ability to rest when exhausted.

___ completed the BSA Swim Test for beginner as follows:

·  Jump feet first into water over the head, level off, and begin swimming.

·  Swim 25 feet on the surface.

·  Stop, turn, and resume swimming back to the starting place.

___ is a Non-Swimmer

·  Did not complete either of the swimming tests.
